Broken Head Dayspring

The Byron Bay area has pretty amazing weather all year round but I find around Easter has particularly spectacular sunrises.

As is common this time of year here, there is a mixture of high and low cloud. What is unusual about this image is that the sunrise colour as hitting both levels of cloud rather then one or the other.

Broken Head Beach is my favourite beach for shooting reflections in the sand. The fine sand particles and the very slight incline work together to create moments of perfect mirroring of the sky.
